    AMBASSADORS

    Chamber ambassadors are enthusiastic and dynamic volunteers that promote member businesses and assist those member representatives in achieving their goals through networking. They are the familiar faces at ribbon cuttings, new member orientations and other regularly scheduled programming. The team is key in engaging new members in the Chamber, identifying opportunities for members to maximize benefits and are vital to the continual growth and development of business relationships.

     

    W.I.N. (Wellness Initiative Network) AMBASSADORS - WEST VOLUSIA WELLNESS INITIATIVE

    W.I.N. Ambassadors are network providers that further the mission of empowering West Volusia to live a wellness lifestyle through the initiative that strive to lead business community wellness, unite wellness professionals and promote wellness destination tourism.  Wellness Ambassadors are passionate volunteers that share the vision.

     

    WE AMBASSADORS - WOMEN EMPOWERED INITIATIVE

    WE Ambassadors further the mission of Women Empowered - to engage and inspire women through leadership development, learning opportunities and community outreach.

     

    BUSINESS RETENTION & EXPANSION

    Committee members will conduct surveys with local businesses to uncover business needs and encourage business growth. The members will interview businesses to identify strengths and weaknesses of their local business community. The committee will meet monthly to review surveys and provide feedback. Each member must be vetted due to confidentiality.

    WEST VOLUSIA EDUCATION COMMITTEE

    Committee members promote and influence excellence in education through recognition of local public and private schools. They work to identify outstanding achievements and provide awards such as Danny Gainin School of Excellence and Crystal Apple Awards to recognize high achieving schools and teachers.

     

    LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

    Members will examine legislative issues at all levels of government to promote and protect the interests of the business community. The committee will study state and local legislative issues in order to educate the general membership on issues of critical importance. The committee will also arrange volunteers to attend local city council meetings to stay informed of local issues affecting businesses.

     

    SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE

    Committee will coordinate volunteer support for major Chamber events. They will evaluate the events purpose and recommend improvements as well as assist in driving and building attendance.

     

    SOCIAL MEDIA COMMITTEE

    Social Media Committee will coordinate efforts of marketing and promotion for the annual DACC Social Media Awards recognizing individuals and brands producing great content on the social web that promote local business and community spirit.  Committee members must be skilled in areas of communication and production (social media, blogging, SEO, photography, web design, marketing, etc.)

     

    ANNUAL FUNDRAISER COMMITTEE (TAPAS & WINE / EAT-IN-THE-STREET)

    Tapas & Wine / Eat-in-the-Street Committee shall focus on the timeline and implementation of our Annual Fundraiser. They will be engaged in building attendance and assist in handling logistics as well as attend as a volunteer to work the event. Committee members will provide input for themes to create the atmosphere.
