Lace & Accessories is the 4 year old brainchild
of Sandy Chavez. Sandy could always find quality
clothing, but not quality & unusual accessories,
such as shawls, handbags, jewelry, belts, etc. Sandy
says, “Thanks to many loyal customers &
friends, I have been able to move into this beautiful,
historic building in downtown DeLand.” Sandy
and her husband renovated the building and now have
lots of room to showcase the new classic and trendy
merchandise her customers have asked for and love.

Cameron Ribbon Cutting & Open House
Over 60 members of the local community turned out for
the Ribbon Cutting and Open House hosted by Adams Cameron
& Co. at their 422 S. Woodland Blvd. DeLand office.
Both the DeLand Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of
Commerce of West Volusia were on hand to support the business,
with two ribbons being ceremoniously cut by Helen Adams
the founder of the company. Mortgage lenders, home inspectors,
title companies and many Realtors, in addition to a diverse
group of industries were in attendance for the event and
partook in the refreshments.
Adams Cameron
& Co. Realtors opened the DeLand office in June 2006.
There are 9 full time sales staff specializing in both
residential and commercial real estate and the office
plans to grow.
Adams Cameron
was founded in 1963 by Helen Adams. She is still an integral
part of the company's vision and direction.
As a young
man, her son, Bob, joined the company and remains its
President today. Several years ago Bob 's youngest son
Ryan joined the company and about 3 years ago, Bob's oldest
son, John joined the company. John Adams is the General
Manager.
The company
has 235 sales associates and has offices in both Flagler
and Volusia counties, including a Title company and a
training facility.

Goody's
Comes to DeLand
On Thursday, May 17 a Grand Opening and Ribbon cutting
was held for the new Goody’s located at 1470 N.
Woodland Blvd, next to Office Depot in the Gateway Shopping
Center.
Goody’s
is a retailer of family apparel and offers a broad selection
of namebrand merchandise, as well as its own lines of
apparel for men, women and children.
People were
lined up around the entire center waiting to enter when
the store opened at 9:00am on Thursday. The first 300
customers were given gift bags, five of which contained
a $100.00 gift card. Throughout the Grand Opening weekend,
shoppers also had the opportunity to register for an array
of gift cards and a $500.00 shopping spree.

Goody’s
operates 383 stores in 21 states, mostly in the Southeast
and Midwest.
Store Manager
Rose Gray has hired about 75 employees to run the new
Goody’s and predicts Goody’s will do “very
well” in its location.
