Mission:
• To maintain personal member contact to determine needs and expectations; to refer concerns to appropriate action committees; to enhance delivery of services to members; to provide other services aimed at improving membership retention; to continually educate and promote the benefits of membership.

Assignments:
• Assist with grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremonies at member businesses; attend New Member Receptions, Business After Hours and other special Chamber events and programs; survey members regularly through personal visits.

• To serve as a keystone for community improvement, particularly as it relates to appearance, through clean-up campaigns, awards and other programs.

Assignments:
• Coordinate Keep DeLand Beautiful Day; encourage cooperation in maintaining the appearance of the community; and recognize special efforts with monthly Beautification Awards and letters of commendation.

Mission:
• To promote and influence excellence in education through volunteerism by the business community.

Assignments:
• Meets monthly during the school year at local public and private schools; recognizes the achievements of Chamber member schools and supports the county school system. Responsible for Crystal Apple Program and School of The Quarter Award.

• To coordinate volunteer support for the major Chamber events
• To evaluate each event's purpose and worth to the Chamber membership, and where appropriate, to recommend change and improvements to those events.
• To consider the schedule and program of annual events as a whole, and consider whether adding, subtracting, or "re-inventing" events may be beneficial to the Chamber and its members.

Mission:
• To examine and influence the outcome of legislative issues at all levels of government to promote and protect the interests of the business community.

Assignments:
• Study state and local legislative issues to develop recommendations for Board consideration; meet with elected and appointed government officials; sponsor bi-annual Candidates event; interview candidates for local, state and federal offices and educate the general membership on issues of critical importance.

Meets on 1st & 3rd Tuesdays at 4:00pm
