The Beautification Committee of the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to present the September Beautification Award to Harper Hill (Owner) of Primerica Financial Services for the renovation of 713 West New York Avenue.

As stated by Mr. Hill: "713 West New York Avenue has proudly been brought back to life with the help of some great friends like Jim Mikitta at Feasel's Paint & Glass and Travis Satcher (Devcon Remodeling & Construction, Inc.). We were able to successfully restore this old home named "The Hill Mansion." This home had been a halfway house for many years and was in poor condition. Now with the glowing hardwood floors and the traditional look restored, this "Mansion" is bringing a new look to West New York Avenue."

Owner, Harper Hill with Primerica Financial Servies occupies a portion of the downstairs in the main building where he helps families become debt free and financially independent. Travis Satcher (Devcon) was responsible for much of the updates that took place, such as the great parking design as well as the restoration of the two car garage with a one bedroom apartment with full kitchen and bath. Jim Mikitta (Feasel's) was responsible for the interior design including the paint selection and traditional blinds bringing comforting warmth to the offices. The 3250 sq. ft. main building boasts eight large rooms (including a conference room), a kitchen area, four half baths and one full bath. It also has a large basement for storage. The landscaping was accomplished through the hard work of dedicated friends who wanted to participate in the restoration. Jim Mikitta, who also represents West Volusia Properties, currently has the home on the market for sale or lease. The building is zoned commercial with a buildable lot next door.
