Congratulations Dustin's BBQ
The Beautification Committee of the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to present the May Beautification Award to DUSTIN'S BBQ located at 1375 S. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, FL 32720.

Great food is still all in the family at Dustin’s Bar-B-Q Grand Opening! Nothing could beat owner Billy Tomlinson’s slow-cooked meats, family-recipe beans, and fresh salad bar. Nowhere was the staff as friendly, the atmosphere as welcoming, the specials as good.

The hurricanes of February wiped out many of the businesses, including Sonny’s, which has now re-opened as Dustins BBQ. Why Dustins? It goes like this: Tomlinson’s brother Winston started Dustin’s a few years ago. He named it after his grandson. But the legacy didn’t start there. Winston’s wife is Sonny Tillman’s daughter — the “Sonny” in Sonny’s Bar-B-Q. Winston worked with Sonny in the very first Sonny’s, way back when. (Somewhere in there, a family member started Fat Boy’s, but that’s another tale.) Billy worked with Winston at Sonny’s in Gainesville for many years before opening a Sonny’s franchise here, 20 years ago. So if anyone knows how to make the best bar-b-q better, it’s Billy Tomlinson. When Winston started his own chain, he offered brother Billy the chance to improve on perfection.
