The Beautification Committee of the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to present the May Beautification Award to Studio 306 "C"osmetologists, located at 306 C South Woodland, Blvd, 17-92 and Voorhis. Janet Vierling and Deborah Nutting opened their doors December 1, 2005. Janet, a relative newcomer to DeLand, knows what a challenge it can be to get settled and "learn the ropes," of a new community. Deborah is a native of DeLand. In addition to hair, they offer a variety of salon and spa services including facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures. Their top priority is making you look and feel your best from head to toe. While planning the salon, they developed a "theme" for their new salon, interior and exterior. "Lots of color, but a very unique, warm relaxing individualized experience." The building was at one-time a white two-story home and now is commercial property. Janet and Deborah renovated the interior themselves. For the exterior, they placed white flower boxes on the railing with assorted colorful flowers and heather (scented) shrubs below with assorted flowers at the rear entrance to create a welcoming atmosphere. The goal was to create a unique relaxing atmosphere "from the time the clients walk up the walkway to inside the salon." This helps the clients begin to focus on a beautifying, healthy and relaxing express Spa experience without the Spa-style prices. Walk-Ins Welcome! Free Consultations!
