Allusions Salon and Day Spa Wins Beautification Award

The Beautification Committee of the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to present the June Beautification Award to Allusions Salon and Day Spa located at 618 W. New York Avenue in DeLand.

The unique, beautiful, all Florida native landscaping is more than just an ordinary garden. It greets clients, inspiring their moods before they enter the door. In addition to the esthetic plantings, there is a spiral flower and herb garden, which can be made into herbal teas that are offered to every client. All of the plantings are grown organically, without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The landscaping symbolizes the holistic and rejuvenating environment inside.

Allusions Salon and Day Spa is owned by Mark and Anne Madore and opened in December 2002. Anne has been in the industry since 1980 and has used her experience to gain an understanding of clients' likes and dislikes. "We wanted to be different. We strive to create a very soothing, spiritual haven where our clients' needs are the focus of our priority. I'd like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity, my husband Mark for supporting me at every turn, our creative and talented Allusion's team for their dedication and support, and also David Schroeder of Evolving Landscapes for his patience and inspired talents."
