The Abby Wine & Beer Bar
December's Beautification Award went to the Abby Wine & Beer Bar, located at 117 N. Woodland Blvd., in downtown Deland. They Abbey recently renovated the front of the building adding a real "alfresco" look and feel.

According to Todd Carpenter, "We wanted to bring a more communal feeling to our downtown. We wanted to allow our guests from the inside to enjoy the fresh air, while welcoming those from the outside to come on in and enjoy themselves. It is such a worm feeling when you have groups of people out on the streets, having a good time. We wanted to help encourage that type of atmosphere and I think it has worked. People love downtown Deland so much and we are very proud to be a part of their appreciation for what downtown has to offer." Congratulations to the Abby Wine & Beer Bar!
