CCR
Total Turf Management
A Ribbon Cutting/Grand Opening was held for new member
CCR Total Turf Management, Inc., located at 200 W. Wisconsin
Ave.
CCR began in 2001 as a full service company
through consolidation of the Irrigation Service and Installation,
Landscape Installation, lawn Maintenance and Golf Course
Management by the three original principals, Craig Clifton,
Clif Clifton, and David Raihl. With over 90 years of combined
experience and a clear vision to provide quality and professionalism,
CCR quickly established themselves as a leading commercial
contractor in the Volusia County market. In 2005, a fourth
partner, Dennis Smith was added, a Green Industry consultant,
who had been working with the company for the previous
two years.
The ownership at CCR has always been unified
in its desire to provide quality work in a professional
manner and owes its success to its unswerving commitment
to stay true to this credo. Now six years later, CCR is
one of the largest full-service contractors in Florida
with over 75 employees. In 2006, CCR added the Turf and
Ornamental Spray Service and Landscape Lighting to make
CCR your Total Turf Management Company.
In May of 2007 CCR moved their
corporate offices into a 100 year old
professional building in downtown
DeLand. The newly renovated building
with its Key West theme has drawn much
attention, particularly the Paspalum turf
grass selected for the new landscape.
This particular turf grass, while closely
resembling golf course grass, is actually a
very close relative of Bahia grass.
However, there is very little that is similar
about these two types of turf. Paspalum
grass thrives on salt and can be irrigated
with salt water. As with any grass that is
maintained at very low heights (3/4”), it
requires a special reel-type mower and
should be mowed at least twice per week in
the summer growing season. Additionally,
there are extensive fertilization and
chemical applications necessary to keep this
turf looking pristine.
CCR is your home town Total Turf
Management Company, and is looking
forward to building new relationships. |
