This Workshop will provide the foundation for the types of questions, you, as a business owner, will need to ask when dealing with local jurisdictions. Additionally, we will provide you with various resources to seek answers to these questions, on your own. ? The Lay of the Land - Understanding how land use, zoning and local permitting interact with your business ? What to Ask - What questions do I need to answer when I'm establishing a business and renting/buying workspace in a new location? ? What to Expect - What issues frequently come up and how long do they take to resolve? ? Who Can Help Me? What resources are available locally? ? How Can I Help Myself? - What resources are available online? This workshop is being presented by Michael Woods who is a Partner with Cobb Cole, working predominantly in zoning, land use, local government and administrative law. He frequently appears before local governments on development and permitting related issues.
